Normally, a weak guy becomes weaker or stays the same because he/she thinks he/she is weak. If you do so, you’ll be like them. People would be weak or even weaker if they did not have competitors in their lives. Why? Because they never ever challenge themselves.
So,
should we have the competitors or not?
The
answer is yes, but your competitor needs to be the wise one—a person who has
the right virtues and wisdom. Wait, don’t be confused by what I am saying! I
mean, I want you to keep in mind that they are your competitors, not enemies.
I’m not telling you to hate them, especially. You need to learn from them and
try to observe their activities and achievements. And then try to push yourself
to work hard and work faster to reach your dream. It’s also the intentional
pusher that I experienced of. I even used this strategy until now to pursue
each of my goals.
I
am a businessman. I have a lot of friends who are business owners on Facebook.
I always observed their activities and accomplishments whenever they posted on
Facebook. Honestly, I felt appreciated with them and wanted to be like them or
more than that. I was not jealous of what they had gotten, but I automatically
pushed myself, my activities, and my daily duties to get more results because I
thought that my competitors were getting more success.
Another
example, I am a writer, right? I also have a lot of friends whose careers are
in writing. Whenever I saw they published a new book, obviously I felt
appreciated. Even that so, the thing I want you to know is my mind blows
soundly to my brain with a sentence, "Have you done your new book, Piseth?
If not, work on it now!"
Yeah,
this feeling pushes me to get a pen and paper and write something down quickly.
Yes, sure, my brain produces plenty of ideas when I see that my friends, who
are competitors in the same field, have done something great.
I’m sure that if you learn way to put some of your good friends in the same field to be your competitors- challenge you, it might be like you are having positive pushers. You’ll fight to win together and never lose. Anyways, you also need to let your friends know as well because you can compete each other rightly. It can be also a great way which takes yourself out from your comfort zone as well. You may sometimes feel lazy or want to delay getting things done, but if you have positive competitors, your work will get faster and smoother. And you naturally improve your ability as what you can.
Let think about the best people you always admire, and then put them on the list of your goal competitors. This tip will help you and push you to be really hungry for your success. Make sure that I’m not telling you to think of them as your enemies, they are just your admired competitors who you can compare your life results with. And please make the best connection with them because you may need to learn a lot of things from each other.
