The Author’s Point of Views
From my starting point of zero to the middle of success and then down to under zero, there are many good and valuable lessons that should be shared with all humans and the young generations. It is great to know this rare sharing in life.
Introduction
Each person's life story may not be exactly the same, but you can learn the walking tactics (experiences) from another person, considering him a role model, and use them as a map for your own life mission. You can compile other people's life histories, the lessons learned about overcoming difficulties, and the right ways to make your own life better.
You know a car, right? How does a usual car look like? Let's see the explanation! A four-wheel-drive car is exactly able to drive forward, but it can be difficult if the driver drives over long distances because it can break the wheel anywhere. That's why they need one more wheel for replacement, so a car usually has five wheels. This book counts as an extra wheel, the fifth one. It can guide you whenever you are confronting unresolved issues in your life. In particular, even if you do not have any problems, it can make you feel confident. No worries; no matter how far away your dream is, you’re still able to absorb it. All in all, you should have this book in hand for your long life journey; it's like having an extra wheel if you have to drive long distances.
This book is divided into three parts, the first part (Part I) is about the turning point of my life from under-zero until I get my life brighten again. It is a real story that can help you make a better life. Part II is an important part where I sacrificed to overcome the big challenges that most people my age rarely understand and have walked through. I mean it was the time I move from a dark and horrible situation (Road of Death) to get an incredible life which everyone cannot wish for. At that point, I have three keywords:
Failure + Live Your Failure + Transform Failure into Success

The Observation of a Nine-Year-Age Boy
My life was normal as the other children when I was young. Even though I was not born into a rich family, at least I had an adorable couple who were known as my parents. They actually committed to doing their best for their children. Because we are poor, I looked to seek out all my neighbors as well as my family, but no one has been free in terms of financial independence. I just doubted and questioned myself about how I could be rich and get out of this situation. But the answer did not come up in my brain at that time. Thus, I just kept it in mind and have tried to figure it out day by day since then.
I remember when I was nine years of age, I normally went to the rice field to look after all my lovely cows. I always brought and listened to a tiny radio while I was walking my cows to eat grass along the way. Besides money, life seemed to be really free and enjoyable.
One day, when all my cows were eating grass and other plants, I relaxed under a palm tree and turned on my radio to listen to some beautiful songs. Two nice songs were over, and immediately, I heard two guest speakers: one man and another woman talking about Phnom Penh, which is the biggest city in Cambodia and crowded with people. The sounds of appreciation about the beauty of Phnom Penh really attracted my heart. I suddenly stood up and moved my eyes toward the directions for getting to Phnom Penh that my parents used to tell me about. I pretty much want to live there because I do not want to be a cowboy or a farmer for my whole life. I dream of having my own house there one day. A wish came up in my brain; in order to reach this goal, I need to have high knowledge and the ability to handle a high-paying job—not doing the farm for very long.
After
sitting and walking for a while, I thought up an idea to promise myself to keep
my dream alive by taking action. One day I might use my knowledge to earn money
instead of enduring hardship. Although I was only in grade five at that time,
my ambition was completely different from the other kids same as my age. I saw
that all my neighbors and my family were almost broke for days, months, and years
with nothing changing. We did not always live in poverty, but we never had
enough money to survive compared to my uncles and aunts coming from Phnom Penh
during traditional Khmer festivals. They seemed to have much money and owned
plenty of beautiful and expensive things, such as gold necklaces, rings,
motorbikes, modern cars, phones, etc.
Meanwhile,
I was too young to analyze and think deeply; I just remembered my mother’s
words. She told me since I was in grade one, "My dear son! If you do not
want to do farming like your father and me, please work hard with your studies.
You will never be out of poverty unless you have high ability and
knowledge." And she further added to me, "The sons and daughters of
the riches may have deserved the existed money, power, position, business as
well as company from their parents. So, they only spend their time learning,
they will be able to achieve those, not like you. We, your parents, have
nothing to give you, we can only sacrifice our time and energy to earn little
money to support your study, anyway. It is not a big award, but it is the
spontaneous help from us for you. I only hope you would take that ability and
knowledge to bright up your up-coming future."
I
took my mother’s words to think again and again, and I finally understood.
Those reminded phrases jumped up into my deep heart to automatically alert me
to study harder. Because of my great work, from grade one to grade six, I
always got number 1 and achieved the "outstanding student" award from
the school monthly and yearly.
